Description: Antique J G Meakin Staffordshire Ironstone Brown Transferware Eulalie Mug 1800s We are pleased to offer this rare antique brown transferware mug hand marked Eulalie in cursive on the bottom. We believe it was manufactured by J G Meakin circa 1800s and have found pieces with the Meakin backstamp also bearing the word "Eulalie. We think that Eulaie is the name of the blank and not the name of the pattern. This cup features a brown floral design on a white background with pronounced in-mold embossing. It was most likely part of a Victorian wash bowl and pitcher set that included other items such as a chamber pot, soap dish and toothbrush holder. It has no hairlines or chips - just lots of overall crazing from age - giving it plenty of character. Just a really lovely aged piece of vintage English Ironstone that you are sure to want to add to your collection. Thanks for viewing our sale. If you have any questions, feel free to email.
