Description: Up for sale is an Antique Hand Carved Tramp Art Picture Frame. Circa 1870s. The frame is a free standing frame with a kickstand to lean the frame on a desk or shelf. The frame has a gorgeous ornate carved pattern with pillars, fans, ornate patterns and a beautiful arch with a flower as the centerpiece. The frame has it's original finish which is a gorgeous dark walnut finish. This is a very superb example of a very well done piece of tramp art. There are a few very small chips/abrasions and there is a crack in the wood on the back as seen in the photos. Otherwise the frame is in great condition and displays beautifully. Measurements are approximately:Frame: 8 1/4" Tall x 7 3/4" Wide x 1 3/4" Thick.Fits photos up to: 5" Tall x 3 1/2" Wide. (the back is actually 5 1/8" x 3 5/8") This is an antique item and may have small manufacturers imperfections which do not affect the display of the piece.
