Description: This is an original antique (early 20th century) solid wood Gurley surveying equipment case with dovetail edges, brass corners, and leather carrying strap. The original locking latch is intact and working but the key is missing. The case is in very good original condition. The strap is a little frayed on both sides where it is attached to the box, but it is still connected. The entire piece is otherwise sturdy, solid, and fully functional. There is a little surface wear from age and use, but no obvious cracks, repairs, or other major damage. The green felt inside is a little faded and torn. I don't know what model of equipment this was made for. The case measures 5" L x 4 1/4" W x 12" H and will be packed securely and fully insured during shipping. Please provide a street address for shipping as this will not be delivered to a PO box. Advertised shipping cost covers shipping within the lower 48 states. Please ask for a shipping quote to AK, HI, or Puerto Rico.
