Sugar came in large loaves so when you need sugar for baking you took of a large piece with the help of the cutter/crusher.This was made in Germany by Rock & Granner Tin Toy Co around 1850-1870 and comes with a miniature sugar loave, base is in grain painted wood with steel cutters.Base is 4 1/8", top cutter is 5.25", sugar loave is 1.5" Please note: True color may vary based on your monitor settings.
