Antique French Carnation Floral Ribbon Stripe Cotton Fabric ~ Pink Sage Green

Description: Absolutely beautiful length of antique French cotton is a sublime carnation floral with ribbon stripes. A softened red, pinks, soft sagey or olive green, tan and soft brown. The slender stripes are unique as they have a subtle rippling effect. This is a mid density cotton, just slightly heavier than quilting weight in a somewhat largish scale with smaller and mid elements. Circa early 1900's. Very possibly manufactured by Schuerer. A most excellent piece for pillows and period light decorative type upholstery, windows , lamp shades, clothing, bodices & millinery as well as bags/reticules and covered boudoir boxes etc..Also very nice for patchwork pieces & large scale doll clothing. *Condition is very nice. The hues are overall softened by time. Not certain if it was ever actually used, if so lightly or may have been cut for a project never finished. No selvage edges remain. Appears washed/clean and ready to work with. I noted one small area with some pale tanning. *Measures 31 inches wide by a 1 yard long (36”)~ I can keep up to a quantity of '3” selected uncut, (so up to 3 yds. can be sent uncut).
