Antique Composition Doll- 14 in.- 1930's

Description: This doll is adorable- she was a Christmas gift for a little girl in 1930. She comes in her original box with a 'Merry Christmas tag on it. It is obvious that she was well loved. She is all composition with blue tin sleep eyes. She has painted eyebrows and lower eyelashes. She still has her original upper eyelashes. Her mouth is closed with red lips. Her dark brown wig is wavy. She comes in her original dress which is light pink and accented with white lace and a darker pink ribbon. Underneath the dress is a bright pink slip with attached bloomers. She also has a white bonnet. Someone crocheted a sweater and skirt for this doll and booties in pink. An extra dress and beret is in her box- also pink. There is minimal crazing. The composition on her hands has darkened with age. We did not attempt to try to clean them, as we did not wish to interfere with the integrity of this special little doll. She has a small hole in the bottom of each foot- part of the manufacturing proceas to fit onto doll stands so that the dolls can maintain various poses.
