Description: Antique Amish Crepe Wool + Cotton ‘Diamond-In-The-Square’ Quilt circa 1920-1940s. Measures 80” x 80”. Machine pieced, expertly hand quilted at 10 SPI. Very good condition given age, some scattered area of general wear and thinning, few small tears along seams, few hand done repairs. Wonderful and delicate hand quilting throughout, star in center, surrounded by rose vines, pinwheels and feathering along borders. Spectacular and bold Amish quilt, truly an heirloom collectors item to be cherished. Wool blends and cotton are both lightweight and soft to the touch. There is a thin strip of fabric along border of backing for easy hanging or display. Bought as-is in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Lightweight, red binding, solid backing.
