This is a fine American pewter porringer with a crown handle. This porringer has the impressed mark, "T.D. & S..B.", within a rectangle, on the center of the top of the handle. This is the mark of Thomas Danforth Boardman and Sherman Boardman who together operated out of Connecticut from 1810 -1854. A porringer like this is listed in a "Guide To American Pewter" by Jacobs, page 41, where a porringer with this mark was valued at $60 - $75 back in 1957. This American pewter porringer is in As Found condition with a repair to the handle. I offer this Danforth Boardman pewter porringer here with no reserve and a "Buy It Now". DIMENSIONS: The porringer is 1 13/16" H. x 4 15/16" Dia. at the bowl x 7 7/16" L. at the handle. CONDITION: The condition is As Found with an old repair to the handle where it started to separate from the edge of the bowl. Otherwise there is some minor wear and denting to the surface.
