Description: I have for sale a really cool 19th century large spelter metal soldier sculpture. The sculpture is of a New York State Militia, 7th Regiment, soldier. His cartridge bag has a NY insignia and his hat cockade is marked 7. I wasn't able to track another one down online. I could not find an artist or manufacturer's mark. There is a partial piece of paper underneath. I don't know if that is part of an old label, or if it is just something stuck there at some point. Overall, the sculpture is in good condition. The only thing I noticed is at the base to the eagle's face. It has a ding there and scuffed the face away. You can see an example of this in the (12th) photo above.
