Antique 1920s Dermay Dance Purse, Coin Purse, Makeup Purse, Ladies 1920s purse

Description: Lovely silver plated, 1920s ladies dance, coin, makeup purse made by Dermay of Paris and New York. Very art deco looking! During the roaring 20s, flappers engaged these purses for convenience sake. They were a combination coin and makeup purse. The smaller circular spot is for quarters, while the larger circular spot would have been for rouge. The long rectangular spot by the circles would have been for lipstick, while the very long rectangular spots on the opposite sides would have held kohl for lining the eyes and perhaps a color stick for the eyelids. The large rectangular spot would have held pressed face powder, and at some point in time someone etched "Edna" into the metal! So fun! Sadly, there are some issues with the clasp for the closure and the purse will not close all the way. The pressed powder closure also has issues with the handle and part of the flap, it is bent.
