Good to very good aside from library markings. Vol. 12 and 13 have stickers on spine which can probably be removed with care and patience. I don't want to take responsibility. I was able to successfully remove the sticker from vol. 14, with only some light scuffs as a result. But it was time-consuming and tedious. I didn't want to press my luck with the other 2. These are sturdy, little-used books. Bindings and cover hinges are in good shape. I didn't find any marking in the texts. Covers are generally very good. There are a few volumes with small, light smudges, and a couple with light corner bumps. Vol. 9 has the only conspicuous cover blemish, a hard bump on the front bottom edge. Pages are clean and generally in good condition. Noted a very few corner folds. One volume has light thumb creases in top margin. Topics covered include folklore and mythology, heiroglyphs, languages, ethnic cultures, and many more.
