Description: Verve Records 12-inch 33 RPM LP # MGV-2000 is "Anita" by Anita O'Day, with orchestra conducted by Buddy Bregman. It is mono and was recorded in January, 1956, and I believe the orange and yellow labels indicate a first pressing. The record looks to be visually in about VG to VG+ condition, still beautifully shiny, but with some visible surface scuffs and scratches, including the nasty scratch shown in the third picture, which covers most of the playing surface on Side One. It plays through well on my Audio-Technica turntable, with no skips or jumps, but some light background hiss, and some occasional clicks or pops, and a fairly constantly audible ticking throughout Side One. Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well it will play on your equipment. The cover is in solid and functional condition, with the seams all intact, and just typical light surface rubbing and edge wear. As found, it has no inner sleeve.
