Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore! This listing is for a gorgeous designer brooch/pendant designed by jewelry artist Amy Kahn Russell. Mounted on a silver backing, this stunning brooch features a pink quartz calcite carved multi-petal flower with a doublet of rose quartz over pink mother-of-pearl in the center surrounded by a ruby enamel flower. Below this flower is an enamel and jeweled dragonfly decorated with sapphires and gilt bronze garnet jeweled swags on each side. The backing of the brooch is textured silver with the design below the flower at top being gilded bronze. The brooch has a hook at the top for wearing as a pendant and a pin for wearing as a brooch. Both the hook and pin are well constructed for security in wearing. The brooch has all the characteristics of Amy Kahn Russell creations, however, due to the textured backing, I did not find her trademark stamp. Her designs are also generally set in Sterling Silver but again, we did not find the Sterling stamp so we are selling this brooch/pendant as silver metal and bronze. It was purchased from an Estate without identifying card or hang tag. Retail prices on her original brooch/pendant creations run anywhere from $440.00 to $850.00. We are uncertain as to the original price on this piece but the quality is excellent and the piece appears to have seldom, if ever, worn. It is in excellent condition with no noted flaws or damage.
