Humbucker mounting rings (also called pickup mounting frames) are used to attach a humbucker pickup to a guitar and neatly cover the pickup cavity. Several different models are available of different profiles and heights. Guitars with tunematic bridges (Gibson® style) generally require a high mounting ring at the bridge and a low mounting ring at the neck while guitars with low bridges normally require thin mounting rings. The bottom profile of the mounting rings can be modified to suit the shape of the guitar's top using files or sandpaper. Mounting rings are attached with mounting ring screws. These are available in two lengths to suit different height mounting rings.
