Kawai Musical Instruments Manufacturing Co., Ltd. When you think of "Kawai," even if you're not a guitar freak, most people associate it with pianos. Established in 1927 and located in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kawai has become a global name. In the 1970s, Kawai also ventured into acoustic guitars. The item we have for sale is an exquisite masterpiece produced with a commitment to handcrafted quality. Appearance: The top has a 5 cm (1.96 inches) long linear impression that appears when viewed under light, but it is not something noticeable at all. The sides and back are in excellent condition without any significant scratches. The top has aged beautifully to a rich amber color, giving it a vintage feel, with a remarkable dense grain of Sitka spruce that is strikingly beautiful. The sides and back are made from superb Indian rosewood. The top features luxurious , shiny purfling reassembling Mexican shell and a rosette trim that adds to its gorgeous, glimmering appearance. It has been polished thoroughly, so there are only minor hairline marks from aging, which you should be aware of. Fingerboard: The rosewood has a beautiful grain with no signs of wear. Additionally, there are six shiny hexagonal position markers made from Mexican shell that evoke the CF Martin D41. Frets: The frets have been polished and have no rust or dullness. There is still more than 80% left on the frets. Neck: The neck is straight. Truss Rod: It is functioning without any issues. Saddle height: Approximately 3.9 mm (0.15 inch) (in the center of the saddle). Pegs: It features shiny gold Gotoh Rotomatic tuners. The mounting screws have been replaced with new ones. Strings: Freshly strung with Martin Bronze Light Gauge (M140). Inside the body: It has been air-blown to remove dust, and there are no unusual odors at all. Issues: There is cloudiness on the top, sides, back, and the back of the headstock. Additionally, there is a paint crack on the edge of the top near the pickguard. These are purely cosmetic and do not affect sound quality at all. Please inspect pictures for condition reference.
