Description: This is the exact perfect fit for Rheem, Ruud and Richmond hot water heaters (all made by Rheem). If your water heater looks like the one in the pictures, exhaust duct adapter is the correct one. This unit uses the full 12" exhaust opening that tapers to an 8" duct collar which provides better air flow then the oem adapter that blocks the outer edges of the fan outlet and just provides an 8" duct collar in the center. It is sturdy plastic with an 8 inch collar for connection to your duct work. Comes with two screws to mount into the factory mounting holes. This is an after market adapter at a fraction of the cost of the OEM Rheem plastic adapter. This seals against the sides of the water heater and uses the factory mounting points.
