These coins were left in circulation for many years, thus are mostly found in low grades, but not these coins. About the size of dime and nickel. These coins were hand hammered, on whichever copper blanks they had on hand, so coins were of various thickness, featured clipped planchets, off center strikes, heavy or slight strikes, splits and cracks and many other defects. Each coin is different. These coins received a heavy strike helping them retain a lot of detail even after many years in circulation and several hundred years buried in the soil.
