Put a valid non-Verizon SIM card in the phone and then go to the status page in settings. If the phone number shows "UNKNOWN", the phone is locked. If the phone shows something else (a real phone number, 000-000-000), then its unlocked. Please check the picture for reference. Used SIM cards are not included - No carrier will activate a used SIM card that was used by someone else. There is a difference between "unlocked" and "supported". While the phone will accept other SIM cards, the carriers may not decide to allow the phone. My software won't unlock them 1 needs the software reflashed. 1 works on WIFI, accepts SIM cards, but doesn't actually connect.
