Chassis designation CR1, mostly identical unit to CPD-G520, GDM-5510 or IBM P275, similar to GDM-F520. As far as Sony CRTs go, these were the most advanced 21" Trinitron Aperture Grille models. More reliable and simplified internal layout to previous G1/G1W monitors such as G500 or FW900. Nice blacks even without excessive warmup. Photos were taken at 40 level brightness, nothing like old rough shape Trinitrons that are grayed out after 10. Monitor is in the original factory state, it was not repaired or WinDAS adjusted. Vivid, saturated colors, razor sharp focus, geometry spot on. Do not be fooled by the higher hour count - yes, the usage time on this one is higher at 27500 hours, but compared to the other unit with 9000 hours, this one has de facto same luminance level and image quality, albeit longer warm up period. It probably spent most of its life displaying screensaver or other form of black screen. Monitor comes from first owner which was a graphics designer. Screen is flawless, antiglare coating untouched with one or two very fine hairlines that are impossible to see, no other scratches, no smudges or spots - if you see anything weird looking on the photos, its just a reflection. Casing is nice with few scratches on the sides, some very light scratches on the bottom side of bezel. No cracks, chips, dents or other damage. Comes with undamaged, working swivel stand. Plastics are clean, without dirt, they are not brittle like it is common on older CRTs, they are without sun discoloration. See photos, what you see is what you get. !!!
