Description: This is a Used 2010 YAMAHA, J. Yamada Model V-5 Violin in size 4/4. Brownish in color with a nicely flamed back. It is in good condition with a few dings and scratches from use but overall great condition and is playable and ready for its next student. Also Includes an unbranded bow that looks nice and straight, a shoulder rest and a Yamaha branded case. The case does show signs of wear and tear and stains but overall, in good shape. I have pictures of the worst spots. Yamaha is a great choice for a beginner violinist. The best way to find the correct size is to Extend the arm out to the side perpendicular to the body and Measure from the base of the neck to the middle of the palm. 1/4 Violins are for Children from about the age of 4 to 7 years of age with an arm length of about 18 to 20 inches.1/2 Violins are for Children from about the age of 6 to 10 years of age with an arm length of about 20 to 22 inches.3/4 Violins are for Children from about the age of 8 to 13 years of age with an arm length of about 21 to 23 inches.4/4 Violins aka Full-Size Violins are normally for Adults and Children over the age of 13 with an arm Length of around 23 inches and up.
