Description: Fine condition in fine dust jacket. Slipcase shows scuffing, but otherwise strong and intact. Published in 1982 this limited first edition is signed and numbered by Clarke himself (#434/650). The care and quality of materials utilized by this small press are very apparent when viewing in person. Archival level acid-free paper and a smyth-sewn (not glued) binding result in pages that remain crisp, clean, sturdy and show no yellowing despite having been published 42 years ago. The remarkable dust jacket and frontispiece art show no signs of fading either. During the late 1970s and 1980s, Phantasia Press was instrumental in publishing limited first editions of many now prominent SF authors, including several by Isaac Asimov and even the first US edition of William Gibson’s Neuromancer.
