Cowboys players wore a small blue patch with the AT&T logo on their practice jerseys during Wednesday's practice. Before the start of the season, NFL officials allowed teams to have corporate sponsors' logos displayed on their practice jerseys as a way to generate more revenue. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones finally has a naming-rights deal for Cowboys Stadium. And it looks like the Cowboys are going to command a much larger payout for their multi-year agreement with AT&T than the Spurs managed when they struck a 20-year deal with the company in 2002. ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted on Thursday that AT&T will, according to sources, pay as much as $19 million annually to put its name on the Cowboys’ stadium. The billion-dollar venue will be rebranded AT&T Stadium. If the deal is for $19 million annually, that would be nearly 10 times what SBC Communications (now AT&T) agreed to pay each year for the Spurs to call their home arena SBC Center (now AT&T Center). The annual payout on that deal, which runs through 2022, is a little more than $2 million. Jones told reporters on Thursday that he wants his team’s stadium to “be more familiar than the White House.” Jones is of course talking about the presidential palace in Washington, D.C. — not the infamous estate located near the Cowboys’ practice facility that some players reportedly frequented back in the ’90s. AT&T was previously based in San Antonio. The company relocated its headquarters to Dallas several years ago..Other items in other pictures are for your reference only, available in my eBay Store.
