Description: This auction is for a set of two portrait photographs of Walter Pidgeon from the Fox film "How Green Was My Valley." Approximately 8x10. From the Macgowan estate (although I don't believe Kenneth Macgowan had a screen-credited part in the production of this film, it was made during his time at Fox). Purchased at auction. Feel free to ask any questions. Good luck and thanks for bidding ! Kenneth Macgowan was a famed Oscar-winning Hollywood Producer, a Professor of Film and Theatre Arts at UCLA (where Macgowan Hall is named after him in his honor), and an author of numerous books and articles. Prior to moving west for his film career he was a theatrical producer, and a close friend of Eugene O'Neill. He gave Katherine Hepburn her first stage role. Among the films he is best known for include Alfred Hitchcock's Lifeboat, Little Women, Lloyd of London, Young Mr. Lincoln, In Old Chicago, The Return of Frank James, and many more. You can bid with confidence. I have been an eBay member in good standing since the 1990's, and continue to receive terrific feedback both as a buyer and a seller. I am not a professional dealer; just a regular guy who buys and sells stuff on eBay when I have something to sell or find something to buy. If you need more photos of an item please just ask.
