Description: 2 ANTIQUE WOOD & SONS PAT. 1917 BLUE & ORANGE BIRD OF PARADISE 8⅞" LUNCH PLATES Item Description You are buying a set of two (2) authentic, antique Wood & Sons "WOO64" round luncheon plates dating from 1923. These elegant, ivory-toned earthenware, round luncheon plates are decorated with a colorful depiction of a blue and orange bird of paradise perched on a multi-floral branch. The website Replacements identifies this pattern as "WOO64". The bottoms are labeled with a "Wood & Sons Ltd Burslem England" trademark and a "Patented March 21/1917" declaration. Each underside is also impressed with a '723' date mark indicating a July, 1923, manufacture date. Each plate measures approximately 8-7/8 inches in diameter. These century-old plates are in very good to excellent condition. The colors are bright, and the details are distinct. The finish is lustrous. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, breaks or repairs.
