Description: This is an original pair of antique (early 20th century) heavy, solid, cased glass theater light globes with translucent white surface on the inside and frosted texture on the outside with several gold colored Egyptian inspired bands around each globe (acanthus leaves, scrolls) and a large gold metal tassel pendant on the bottom of each. Both pieces are nearly flawless. There is no visible damage to the glass, but both pieces have some marks on the surface from use, and the tassels have acquired an aged patina and some surface wear to the paint. The tassels are hollow and made of two fused pieces of metal, and one has some newer solder on the bottom where it was repaired. There is otherwise no visible damage anywhere on either piece. They each measure 11 1/2" in diameter and hang down a total of 19" from the ceiling. The rim on top of each measures 6 3/16" in diameter so they would fit into a fixture with an opening a little bigger than that. They will be packed securely, double boxed, and fully insured during shipping. Please provide a street address as this will not be delivered to a PO Box.
