Description: 1X LEGALON 140mg by Madaus Germany Traditionally Used For Liver 100's Description: Each capsule contains dry extract from the fruits of Silybum marianum (36-44:1) 173-186.7 mg equivalent to silymarin 75-80.9%, calculated as silibinin (extractant: Ethyl acetate >96.7%). It also contains the following excipients: gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, maize starch, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulphate, titanium dioxide E 171 and ferric oxides E 172. Contents Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) fruit extract. Indications/Uses Traditionally used for liver tonic. Dosage/Direction for Use Treatment: 1 cap 3 times daily (milk thistle fruit extract equivalent to silymarin 420 mg). Maintenance Dose: 1 cap 2 times daily (milk thistle fruit extract equivalent to silymarin 280 mg) is sufficient. Administration: The capsules should be taken whole with some liquid before meals. Overdosage In the event of an overdose, the mild laxative effect may occur to a greater extent. In this case, consult a physician for symptomatic measures. Contraindications Use in children: There have been no adequate investigations on the use of Legalon in children. It should, therefore, not be used in children <12 years.
