We listed as “New” since the pen was never filled with ink. PLEASE READ BELOW REGARDING CONDITION OF OUR LISTING: - The threaded nib collar on Omas fountain pens from this era are notoriously fragile and crack simply due to age. That was the case when we received this, never used, pen. Ron at Main Street Pens machines new threaded collars for Omas pens of this era. We sent it to him for replacement since machining is not a service we offer at Pentiques. The new collar has been sealed with a rosin-based sealant and the piston mechanism lubricated. The seal has been pressure tested, it is in perfect working condition should you choose to fill the pen. The above should not be considered as a detraction, but a restoration. CLIP EDGE PLATING WEAR- there is gold plating wear on the edge of the clip - see image. It is highlighted with photo contrast. It’s not glaringly obvious for the naked eye. Should you choose to have it re-plated the cap finial is hand-tight for easy removal. Shipping sleeve and heavy hardwood box are included.
