Description: 1989 Ibanez SoundGear SR1000e Bass w/ Hardshell Case For sale we have a rare Ibanez bass, from the days before Prestige models existed. This SoundGear bass features a PJ pickup configuration that is versatile enough to cover a wide range of musical styles. Roll the pickup selector forward to engage the P pickup for some hard-hitting rock tones, or roll it all the way back to enter Jazz Fusion territory. Using the simple one knob EQ, you can apply a variety of contours that further refine the tone of this instrument. The neck on this bass is as slim and fast as they come. Perfect for virtuoso players as well as anybody with smaller-than-average hands. This bass just feels comfortable and is super fun to play. The Omni-Adjust bridge is also highly tweak able to make this bass fit your style perfectly. Overall, the bass is in great condition. The neck is dead straight, and it plays very clean at low action. It does, however, have a relatively visible ding on the bass side waist (pictured). It’s away from any crucial areas though, and won’t affect playability or feel. It has some scratches on the back of the body too, but those are to be expected for a 35 year old instrument. It’s been professionally setup with new strings set to play low and fast. The fretboard has been conditioned, and the frets have been polished. The electronics have been cleaned as well.
