Production estimates for the JMS sets are thought to be around 5,000 sets. The company went out of business before they were able to produce a complete run of NBA teams. Only the Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers had their 9-card sets distributed. These cards are officially licensed by the NBA Player's Association. The Charles Barkley card from this set has recently taken on added significance as an NBA Licensed Card pre-dating the 1986-87 Fleer Barkley Rookie Card.
