Description: I actually had a chance to go to the summer Olympics in Montreal in 1976. Just out of high school.... Mom tells the story of our housing canceling at the last minute and having to stand in line searching for other available housing in town (which we did eventually find). Of course, the sports we had each picked to see were all sold out so we ended up seeing weightlifting, wrestling and track & field (as opposed to volleyball, gymnastics and swimming), but it was an experience, nonetheless! Anyway, back to Dad and his philatelist tendencies.... Here is a complete, unopened set of the 5 series of First Day of Issue Olympic Cancellations for the 1976 Montreal Olympics!
