Description: Offering the cylinder head assembly shown.It includes the rockerbox with both camshaft bearings, both rocker-shafts and plugs, the camshaft plug w. kick indicator window, tach drive gear assembly. It does NOT include valves, valve springs w. retainers and keepers, camshaft, rockers! !! What you see is what you get !! There is minor damage to a lower cooling fin on the head that is bent upward as shown in the pictures. Unless you do not care and want to use the head as is this will need attention, but everything is there, no parts missing, so you can bend it back and weld it into place in the process of refurbishing the head. This cylinder head came off a 1978 XT500, it has the slightly larger fins on the head, unlike the 1976 and 1977 cylinder heads. Nevertheless, this head will fit the '76 + '77 XT and TT 500 bikes as well, as a matter of fact, for cooling purposes these heads are more desirable for better cooling. So unless you're looking to built a totally 'model year correct' engine this can be used on your 1976/77 model XT or TT.It works with a 44mm intake valve and 38mm exhaust valve which will need to be obtained along with the other parts mentioned above.
