Description: Vintage 1970s Camp Fire Girls ceremonial gown Homemade from official McCall's pattern - I wore this gown when I graduated from Bluebirds to Camp Fire Girls at the age of 12! Dress is made from light brown cotton/polyester blend with dark brown faux suede fringe. Patches are probably made of wool felt. Beads are made of painted wood. Length: 45"Width: 21" (average) Condition: Dress: Excellent condition with no tears - mark on one sleeve looks like white paint (see photo)Patches: Fair condition with high color but some probable moth holes.Beads: Excellent original condition.Note: While the Camp Fire organization has always based its philosophy on the respect Native Americans hold toward the natural world, they recognize the cultural appropriation involved in aspects of Camp Fire traditions.
