Description: Sale is for a 1970s studio pottery bowl by Dr. Harold C. Mantz (1908-1994) Bowl measures 12" in diameter, 3" tall. Minor chips on the edge (2) one chip is on the outer rim and the other is on the inner bottom rim. Pictures shown the item on sale. Feel free to ask any questions. Expect normal signs of wear on all vintage/used items. Refer to photographs & description for item condition. Sale is final. He was born and reared in Pennsylvania. He was a professor in the Art Education Department of Kutztown University until 1977 after being there for 38 years. He was an Archie Bray Resident Artist under then director David Shaner. He worked in several mediums with pottery, painting and sculpture being most notable. A portion of his exhibition record includes: Millbrook Art Gallery, Mill Hall, Pennsylvania in 1966 and 1967; Archie Bray Foundation, Helena, Montana; America House, American Crafts Museum, New York City; Philadelphia Convention Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; the University of Miami and the Wilmington, Delaware Museum of Arts and Crafts.
