Description: 1968 NASCAR Charlotte World 600 Program Buddy Baker Wins In Record Low Speed. This program is in fantastic shape. There is no writing, no tears, no bent pages, and it smells just fine. It is a really nice program for the collection or just to read. There is great content, and the advertisements relate to the muscle car era. Please review the pictures as part of the description. The 1968 World 600 was held at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26th before threatening skies and 60,000 people. On the pole was Donnie Allison in the Banjo Mathews Ford with a speed of 159.223. Weather was a major story for this race. NASCAR wanted to get the race in and ran many laps under yellow in the rain or drying the track. There were six cautions for 110 laps. In addition, the race was shortened to 382.5 miles and flagged after 255 of the 400 scheduled laps. The average speed was a record low for the race at 104.207 mph. Buddy Baker ran a smart race, leading 92 laps and being in the right place when the race was called. Baker was in the #3 Ray Fox Dodge. Donnie Allison finished second, followed by LeeRoy Yarbrough, David Pearson, and Bobby Isaac. Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
