1968 Mercury Cougar

Description: 1968 MERCURY COUGAR 2 DOOR COUPE: I have personally owned this Cougar for 20 plus years. I believe I am the third or fourth owner. This vehicle could use a complete restoration to make it of "show car" quality. I consider it a nice daily driver, as it is now. This vehicle was repaired and repainted 20 years ago over the factory paint. As shown in the pictures, the door jams and trunk were no painted at that time. Included is the Marti report which shows it was a car from out west until it was brought to the Midwest about 25 years ago. There are two holes, as shown in the pictures, on the bottom floor pans. This vehicle runs strong with a 302 and a Holley 4 barrel. The stainless-steel headers and exhaust were installed last year. This vehicle has the front disc brake conversion. This was an ai- conditioned vehicle originally. Currently, however, there is no air conditioning in the car. It has the set-up for power steering, but it is not currently hooked up. The factory sequential turn signals work fine. The vacuum operated headlights go up automatically, but need to be put down manually. I have the factory air cleaner, and valve covers, along with a lot of original and spare parts that will go with the vehicle when sold.
