Description: Write your next novel with this high quality Swedish-made machine! Elite 12-pitch typeface. Robin egg blue matte finish. Dark gray Viking longship decal and North American keyboard. Its angular, boxy curves remind me of a Volvo 240 series, only instead of miles per gallon, its speed is measured in words per minute! I found this “As Is” typewriter in an antique store in Iowa City back in 2017. The escapement was frozen from old factory-applied oil, which had solidified over the decades, causing the keys and carriage not to function at all. A common setback with this model. Well, that same year, I removed the escapement, cleaned it, put it back on with a dab of Singer Machine Oil and I'm happy to report that, seven years later, this typewriter is still in perfect working order. Cosmetically very sound, with the exception of the feet, which are worn, but still present and functional. For those of you who enjoy a little extra history, this typewriter also comes with several repair shop stickers on it. You can remove them with a hairdryer and a bit of Goo Gone should you so desire. Also included: a new old stock cleaning brush, a black typewriter ribbon, and a black carrying case with some minor exterior scratches; red interior near pristine.
