This is The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation 31st July, 1967 five dollars currency note. The banknote which was issued by the "The Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation" and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Ltd. has a brown design on multicolored underprint with the image of a woman seated at right of the front. The front also has the arms of Hong Kong in the center with the denomination under it. The back is also brown on multicolored underprint with the image of a bank building in the center and a winged angel on top. This particular note has the serial number 550154 BX displayed in black twice on the front but not on the back. The note has two signatures displayed on the front. It is dated 31st July 1967. The banknote has a watermark located in the rectangular frame to the right of the back, which displays a helmeted warrior's head. Condition: I would grade this banknote as a crisp extremely fine or much better with all the details being extremely well preserved. The note, which is fully original, shows practically no wear, and is problem free. It has one central vertical fold/crease, which is the reason we are grading the note XF and not AU or UNC. It is clean with no soiling, no stains, no graffiti, no pinholes, no tears, and no splits. The edges are intact with no roughness and the corners are fully squared with no appreciable rounding. Its colors are still clear with no fading and the note retains quite a bit of its original stiffness, sheen and crispiness.
