1966 Ford Mustang

Description: Up for sale is a beautiful 1966 302 V8 Ford Mustang. If you're looking for an amazing Mustang where no expense was spared in its restoration, but needs just a bit of work done to it, look no further. I first purchased the car over ten years ago when it was in fine shape and running well, but my goal was to get it to be a 100% restored “forever car” for myself, so worked on it or had it worked on regularly for several years. I basically spared no expense, purchasing the best quality replacement parts I could find at the time or restoring original parts of the car that made sense to. I had a top-of-the-line show-quality paint job done where they basically removed everything they could from the car and stripped it down to bare metal before starting the process of repainting the car in the original Wimbledon White color and adding replacement door shells and panels. See pictures during this process and pictures of how it looked right when I got it back from the shop in the listing. With new door shells, lids, panels, bumpers, emblems, headlights, etc, it looks like a brand new 1966 Mustang and much of it is. I hesitate to call it a “retro mod” because my goal was to be faithful to how it rolled off the line, but upgrade things that I thought could look and perform better (like billet pedals, Magnaflow exhaust, etc) with higher-end parts. After the car was stripped and painted, I did a few minor things to it and it was basically 100% restored. It looked beautiful and drove incredibly (it’s super fast and fun to drive and sounded amazing). Unfortunately one day I went out to start it and after it ran for a minute or so, it stalled out. I spent the next few weekends trying to trace the issue down, but ran out of time to work on it and never have found the time again. I tried to start it a few months later and it didn’t start at all. So for the last few years, it’s simply sat in the same state, but covered with a high-end custom Covercraft cover at all times in Arizona. There was a small electrical issue (I believe with the emergency turn flashers not blinking properly) I was trying to trace down as you can see in the interior pictures in the listing that I also never had time to finish tracing down, but besides that it’s in the same state other than any issues it could have accumulated simply by sitting around inactive (of which I'm not sure what those would be). The only other major condition notes is there a small dent on the hood that can be seen in the last pictures that happened when driving it, a very small hole in the driver side upholstery from keys hanging out of my pocket, and sadly the antenna snapped off when removing the cover one day (this is easy and cheap to replace). The odometer reads 38394 miles. I absolutely love this car and it's not far from being 100% restored again, but I simply have never had the time to get back to it and I hate seeing it just sit around, so decided to sell it. I have much more money invested into the car than I'm selling it for, so this is a great opportunity to get a car of this caliber at this price. As the car currently doesn't run, you will have to come with a trailer to tow it to its desired destination. All of the pictures in the listing are new pictures taken within the last two weeks other than the ones at the end of it in a garage and being painted.
