Description: This is for an original ticket stub for game 1 of the 1965 World Series which was played between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Twins at Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington Minnesota. Game 1 will always be known as the game in which the Dodgers ace, Sandy Koufax, refused to pitch the opening game of the series since it fell on Yom Kippur, the holiest of Jewish holidays. Many think that Don Drysdale would lose game 1 while Koufax would come back and win game 2, but that was far from the case. Sandy would lose game two after allowing 2 runs, 1 earned, while Jim Kaat shut down the Dodgers offense with a 5-1 complete game victory. Sandy would come back however in games 5 and 7 pitching complete game shutouts in both games to help the Dodgers win the series 4 games to 3 over the Twins. The PSA population report for this stub shows 10 PSA 5, 11 PSA 6, 3 PSA 7, 1 PSA 8 and 1 PSA 9. Not sure what this one would grade, but to the naked eye the ticket looks great. A nice full stub with tremendous eye appeal. Check out the scan and email with any questions. Combined shipping always available for multiple purchases Shipping charge is for USPS Boxed Priority mail
