1965 Hermes 3000 Typewriter Pica Font! VG/Excellent Condition New Platen Rubber!

Description: 1965 Hermes 3000 Portable Typewriter. Pica typeface - 10 CPI. Type slugs are imprinted with “S 6”. Includes original Hermes 3000 instruction manual, and 2 Hermes cleaning brushes. Has Hermes ribbon spools (from a Hermes gen 2 model - they are plastic). The platen rubber is new (JJ Short Co.) The rubber foot pads are also new. It is in Very Good/Excellent working condition and very good/excellent cosmetic condition (see photos)! Only some very minor blemishes (see photos). The case is in very good condition, all latches work as they should. The case includes original key. Modification Note: this machine was missing the red margin indicator ribbon and spring that goes through the paper bail bar, and it has not been replaced. A red plastic strip was installed in the paper bail bar for cosmetic purposes only. This has no effect on the right and left margin operations - they work as they should. Typewriter has been meticulously cleaned, lubricated and adjusted. It is super clean, and I would guess that everything operates as smooth as it did when it was born. New black/red ribbon installed. All operations have been tested and are in excellent order. Like the other Hermes I have listed, this is an amazing, excellent operating, and beautiful typing machine ready to display and use for many years to come. I have refurbished many typewriters over the years and take great care to bring great typewriters back to ready to use working condition. I carefully pack each typewriter.
