Description: Very good condition vintage fishing or hunting fillet knife. Super flexible, thin sharp blade. Typical carbon steel blade staining and a little minor surface corrosion on a spot or two. Blade is 5.75", 10.75" overall. Blade width is .5". Says "MUCC" on handle, and four neatly carved notches (by former owner), no other Olsen marks. Two big brass rivets and partial tang. Leather sheath is fine, no stains, no holes, has former owners initials in pen on back and inside sheath, sheath has belt loop. Although no makers marks on the knife or sheath, this is 99% likely a vintage Olsen O.K. knife from Howard City, Michigan, USA. There are several MUCC identical examples online, some marked with the Olsen on the blade or sheath, some not. MUCC is the Michigan United Conservation Clubs, still going strong conservation non-profit. I believe these knives were offered to their membership in the day. Olsen was out of business by the 1970s. Too bad, they made some high quality hunting/fishing knives, like this one. Please see pictures for detail and condition. Ask any questions. Happy to combine shipping if you buy some of my other items. Thanks!
