Description: Item is a 3” diameter celluloid pinback showing Bert & Ernie Piels standing in front of a sign without sufficient space for the wording. Item was issued by Bishop Neumann High School of Philadelphia Pennsylvania for their June 1958 graduating class. The school had a long tradition of the graduating class choosing “unofficial mascots” and issuing pinback buttons showing the mascots. Pinback was meant to take advantage of a highly successful advertising campaign for Piels Brothers Beer of Brooklyn New York. Issue was limited to the graduating class of the high school. Item is Very Good with strong color and no celluloid cracks or breaks. Pinback does show some wear and some surface scratching. Being offered as shown in the jpegs, so please look at the pictures and ask questions prior to bidding. No Returns. Ships to US only. No international shipping. Shipping cited is for boxed first class shipping within the US.
