This laurel wreath crown from 'QUO VADIS' was made for the epic 1951 movie from Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's was originally scheduled to be filmed in the 1940's but WWII politics put a stop to it. Oscar® nomination for Best Supporting Actor for this role. Diameter: approximately 7 in. This laurel wreath crown was sold at the 1970 MGM auction administered by David Weisz Auctioneer Company. Many of the 'Sword and Sandal' movie props in my collection go back to the 1925 Silent Movie version of 'Ben Hur' as well as other vintage movies from the 1920's to the 1950's.
