1950s Central of Georgia Railway "PULL" card for freight cars

Description: The Central of Georgia Railway Company (CofGa) was a regional carrier that served the states of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Most of its trackage was in Georgia, where it served the major cities of Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Macon and Columbus. Lines from Georgia extended to Birmingham, Montgomery and other smaller cities and towns in Alabama, but its sole penetration into Tennessee was a route to Chattanooga. For auction is a "PULL" card used by the CofGa on loaded freight cars. When the car was unloaded, the card was to be removed or "pulled" and forwarded to the local freight agent who in turn would provide it to CofGa for accounting purposes. Identified on the card was the car number, contents, date, routing and consignee. 1950s Central of Georgia Railway "PULL" card for freight cars Click image to enlarge Description The Central of Georgia Railway Company (CofGa) was a regional carrier that served the states of Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. Most of its trackage was in Georgia, where it served the major cities of Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, Macon and Columbus.
