Here's some info on the company: JB Hudson has long been the destination for luxury in Minnesota. Josiah Bell Hudson founded his first store downtown Minneapolis in 1885, attracting the elite and well-heeled of the fledging Mill City. Some forty years later, JB Hudson Jewelers moves into a beautiful, custom-built enclave in the newly constructed Dayton’s Dry Goods Department store building on Nicollet Mall. With its terrazzo marble floors, elegant cast-iron gates, and hand-carved mahogany cases, JB Hudson Jewelers attracted generations of clients looking for the very best in jewelry, timepieces, and giftware. In 2008, the store relocated into the Young Quinlan building, a few blocks south of the original location. There, the store expanded to include a full-service repair suite featuring watchmakers, jewelers, and appraisers. Due to the changing retail landscape, JB Hudson Jewelers temporarily shuttered their doors in 2021.
