Image Size: 16.75 x 21.25 inches.This extremely graphic map depicts central Boston , in remarkable detail, just after the end of World War II. Rapid Tranist Lines are shown in red. The "Boat ride to see points of interest from Charles River" is shown along with bridges and wharfs. The index locates 7 Points of interest, 49 Hotels and 36 Theaters within the map. Surrounding the map the indexed buildings are illustrated and numbered. In unusually good condition with minor fold wear !!! Separately issued pictorial advertising maps such as this one, were intended to be well used - continually folded and unfolded, or posted unprotected as a means of advertising the Company. As a result, most do not survive; those which do are often in poor condition.Original map about 75 years old, not a reproduction - in nice condition as shown in the photos.
