Description: Vintage photo from a US Navy Sailor's collection. He arrives in England in early 1944, then on a LCI during Normandy Landings. Next he is stationed at Antwerp, Belgium starting in fall of 1944-5, thru Battle of Bulge & V2 Rocket attacks. In Antwerp he was not on a ship so working at the Antwerp Harbor? OK I now think he might have been part of Navy AA crew. There is a photo in the collection of him and his mates. On the back is all there names and "The Flak happy boys from Buzz-Bomb alley. USNAVPO". Living in city building with some close calls with rocket attacks. He went into Holland at some point. A trip by Navy Jeep to Brussels, Leige and then to Aachen Germany. It's so close maybe a day trip? He returns stateside in Aug of 45 on a transport ship . NO name for him (except Me written on backs) and only last names of his fellow sailors so I'm not having much luck researching for more info.SEE Size in condition box above..
