Description: Original not a reproduction or "used" as some sellers try to disguise a fake sign. Pictured do not do it justice. 10 1/2" x 27". I bought this from the grandson of the owner of a 1940s department store located in SLC. It is lighted, the metal is faux painted woodgrain mahogany. It screams 1940s! I thought I had cleaned off the grunge from inside the glass but I see in the lit picture it needs another once over. Should have worn my glasses!! Not hard to dissemble to clean the glass. I replaced the original cloth covered wiring. It is missing a cover on the back that would keep the light from showing on the wall. A thin piece of sheet metal would be easy to fit if desired. You could even tape thin poster board over the opening if desired. The original bulbs were longer but I had these "vintage style" bulbs in my storage so I used them. I imagine longer bulbs would display more evenly. Looks good to me. I will double box for safe shipping. A great displaying advertising sign. Sorry for some glare/reflections in the pics but it goes to show just how shiny the sign is in real life. I am listing lots of vintage advertising related items often.
