Description: Black depression glass art deco Macbeth Evans vase. This vase dates back to the 1930's or 1940's. The black glass is not your run of the mill black amethyst, it is thick and almost completely opaque. In the few areas where a very bright light will shine through the underlying tone of the glass is a rich dark licorice brown. It has an attractive stippled diamond and dart pattern. It is in beautiful vintage condition. No chips, cracks or defects. It measures approximately 8 1/2" tall and 4" at its widest point. Mouth of vase is 2.25" diameter. Unique piece!
