Description: This listing is for a HOWDY DOODY ventriloquist doll made by Ideal Toys in the 1940s. Rare, this is the smallest Howdy Doody doll made by Ideal Toys, measuring 8" tall and made of plastic with realistic clothing, sleep eyes, and moving mouth. The mouth is operated using a lever in the rear of the neck and the eyes can be closed with the tip of your finger (or a Q-Tip if your finger is not child size!). This 80 year old Howdy Doody is in very good condition overall. The red plastic finish on the belt and boots show some deterioration from age, but the doll still looks great.
